DETAILS
LEAD TIME: 1-2 Weeks
DIMENSIONS: 10cm x 7.5cm x 1cm
MATERIALS:
Leather: Cow hide, Vegetable tanned (Maremma, Conceria Puccini Atillio, Tuscany Italy)
Thread : Linen
PROCESS: Bone and Blade products are hand stitched using a heritage technique known as saddle stitching. This technique was originally used by Saddle Makers to create a durable, long-lasting join that wouldn’t unravel, even under the harshest working conditions. Developed before the Industrial Revolution, the technique of saddle stitching remains the same today, a single thread with a needle at each end is woven through a line of handmade holes crossing back and forth in a figure of eight motion. This strong construction means that should a stitch break, the thread on the opposite side continues to hold the piece together.
CARE: Use it, love it, but please avoid getting your wallet soaking wet or leaving it near a heat source. Over time each Copper Dome Wallet will patina in a way unique to its owner. This Italian vegetable tanned leather will soften and break in, darken with exposure to sun and patina with the oils from the skin, making each one truly one of a kind. Should the leather start to look dry use a quality leather balm and buff with a soft cloth.
